Common Cents Investment Group is a student organization at The Ohio State University that is dedicated to providing investment education for undergraduate students, a forum for students to discuss recent market news, ideas about investment and financial careers, as well as an annual portfolio competition. We encourage students that are just beginning their investment journey, as well as more advanced investors from all majors to join us each week because there are opportunities for every knowledge level.
Being a member-focused organization, we value our member’s feedback and do our best to concentrate on topics that our members are interested in learning about!
That being said, at the beginning of each semester we talk about some basic investing skills and concepts and then move into more complex strategies of investing and discuss the benefits and drawbacks to the different approaches. Throughout the semester CCIG hosts frequent guest speakers to educate our members about local jobs in investments and finance. Our meetings are mostly casual, and we strive to encourage lots of questions and dialogue among members.

We hope to see you at our next meeting!
